Meet Lu Ann

My journey started in a small town in Ontario, winding its way to the beautiful Bulkley Valley. I feel incredibly grateful to be here, serving the Smithers community and beyond.

From the beginning, I've been fascinated by human behavior and the healing process. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology from Mount Allison University in 2000 and a Master's in Education from the University of New Brunswick in 2005. This academic journey fueled my curiosity and passion for science, paving the way for my exploration in somatics, interpersonal neurobiology, applied polyvagal therory, parts work and EMDR.

My commitment to your mental health journey is rooted in compassion, understanding, and respect for your unique life experience. It's an honor and a privilege to be a companion and support in the healing journey of those I work with.

I firmly believe that the human system is naturally inclined towards health and wholeness. All the pieces are already there; it's just a matter of creating the right conditions for individuals to unwind, let go, and reclaim what may have been obscured along the way.

Certified with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, I am here to support you on your path to well-being.
